In any restaurant, the kitchen is the heart of the operation. It’s where the magic happens, and it needs to be clean, organized, and most importantly, grease-free. Grease is unavoidable in a kitchen, but if it’s not properly removed, it can create a fire hazard. So how do you degrease a restaurant kitchen?
There are a few different ways to degrease a kitchen, but the most important thing is to have a plan. First, identify the hot spots in your kitchen where grease builds up the most. These are usually around cooking surfaces like stoves and grills. Next, gather your supplies. You’ll need a degreaser, rags or paper towels, gloves, and safety goggles. Once you have everything you need, it’s time to get to work.
Spray the degreaser onto the affected areas and let it sit for a few minutes to break down the grease. Then, using the rags or paper towels, wipe away the degreaser and grease. Be sure to dispose of the rags properly; you don’t want to create another fire hazard. Repeat this process as necessary until all of the greases is gone and your kitchen is sparkling clean.
